    The Foundation class is where your Pilates journey truly begins. Think of it like building a house - without a solid foundation, everything else becomes unstable. This class is designed to help you build that strong foundation and understand the essential mechanics of Pilates: bony landmarks, rib and pelvic placement, shoulder blade mechanics, and breath. You’ll slow things down, exploring subtle yet powerful movements like pelvic tilts, scapular isolations, and core activation - the details that make Pilates transformative.

    The intention of this class is awareness - learning how your body is designed to move and finding alignment from the inside out. By deepening your understanding of the fundamentals, you’ll move more intelligently, safely, and efficiently in every class that follows.

    Perfect for beginners building their practice from the ground up, and equally valuable for seasoned practitioners looking to refine their technique. The master always returns to the fundamentals. We recommend beginners take Foundation classes before moving into Flow, and all students revisit this class regularly to stay connected to their body’s blueprint.
